Students may elect to attend on a full-time basis if work and family obligations permit, or students may attend part-time. Time spent in actualclassrooms is a program requirement for both full-time and part-time students.

The College of Education is proud to offer a NEW Non-certification Education Degree. The Educational Studies major at SPC serves to prepare individuals to enter community-based service organizations; it also assists individuals already employed to improve their ability to function in educational-related roles.

The Satellite Program in Visual Impairment prepares two types of professionals to work with individuals who are blind or who have low vision. These professionals include teachers who work with children with visual impairments and orientation and mobility specialists who teach travel skills to individuals with visual impairments. There is a critical shortage of professionals in both of these specializations throughout the United States.
