Description: The Barry University Department of Sport & Exercise Sciences is searching for highly qualified applicants for adjunct faculty positions for the 2009-20010 academic year. The Department of Sport & Exercise Sciences offers both Bachelor’s and Master’s level programs in Exercise Science and Sport Management at our Satellite Campus location in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with a Doctoral Degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Sport Management, Sport Administration, Physical Education or a related field. The minimum requirement is a Master’s Degree in one of the above disciplines. Prior teaching experience is preferred and applied experience in the field to be taught is highly desired. Applicants must possess the ability to communicate effectively with students, administrators and staff.

Full-Time Faculty Vacancies – Gross Anatomy Instructor and Physiology Instructor
National University of Health Sciences invites applications for teaching faculty in the following disciplines:
- Full – time Gross Anatomy Instructor
- Full – time Physiology Instructor
The teaching positions are within the NUHS Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine Program at the St. Petersburg College University Partnership Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Anatomist:
Anatomy instructors at National University of Health Sciences are responsible for facilitating students’ learning experiences in the anatomy of the human body. Lectures, discussion groups, facilitated group interaction, and laboratories are utilized.
Some of the duties include:
- Teach students primarily gross anatomy in a lecture setting
and/or in the Gross Anatomy Laboratory setting.
- Perform scholarly, administrative, and service duties as required of full time faculty members.
- Perform facilitated large group and small group discussions per scheduled group meetings.
Physiology Instructor:
Physiology instructors at National University of Health Sciences are responsible for facilitating students’ learning experiences in the physiological processes of the human body. Lectures, discussion groups, facilitated group interaction, and laboratories are utilized.
Some of the duties include:
- Teach students primarily physiology as it relates to the human body in a lecture setting and/or in a laboratory setting.
- Perform scholarly, administrative, and service duties as required of full time faculty members.
- Perform facilitated large group and small group discussions per scheduled group meetings.
